(Islamabad) The Ministry of Education on the instructions of the Federal Minister of Education, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, has asked the people to give their opinion on the draft of the Education Policy prepared by the previous Government.
The draft Education Policy designed by Shaukat Aziz's Government has been placed on the Education Ministry's website: www.moe.gov.pk. The general public of Pakistan has been requested to read the draft of previous Govt's Policy and give their opinion on it to the Ministry of Education.
The opinion of the people will be reflected in the coming Education Policy. The sources in the Education Ministry has revealed that the proposed new Education Policy will be adopted through consensus among all the stakeholders. It is also learned that the new Education Policy will be widely debated in National Assembly prior to its implementation.

(Islamabad) Federal Minister for Education, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, has said that Government will allocate its best resources for the uplift of the education sector in Pakistan. He expressed these views while talking to the Japanese Ambassador who called on the Minister here in Islamabad.
Quality accreditation system for Public Sector Schools will be launched to ensure the best quality imparting of knowledge. The quality of Public Sector Schools will be brought at par with the private schools, the Minister added. Ahsan Iqbal apprised the Japanese Ambassador that Donors' Conference for Education sector in Pakistan will soon be called. There is a considerable coordination gap between the Donors' agencies and the Government of Pakistan and this gap needs to be filled. The Minister also spoke regarding the coming Education Policy and said that special emphasis will be laid on implementation of the Policy.

Militents are destroyed the educationl palces in pakistan by tthe revange of miltiry action (walr againest tararissiom) in pakistan by the help of (neto) U.S and pak Army... in sawat wana wazeerstan and traible area...Maj Gen athar Abbas the spokesman of ISPR sayes ..... we are fastly taking the success in this area against local taliban with the help of local peoples (Lashkar)... and the peoples of velly are alos admired the Pak army efforts and helping the forces to point out the local agent of taliban..i love when i see the opening of new school in trible area of paistan i feel the goverment of pakistan must make plan to educate the people to finished the taliban with the help of technlogy and education.my name is dilshad ahmed and i am running a NGO about roral education plan in pakistan by the help of UNISCO U.N.the worls specialy improved countreis must the help pakistan to fight gainset militents becuse its not only the war of pakistan .this is third genration war..

Militants - who have blown up or burned down more than 170 schools in their campaign - had ordered all girls' schools in the area to close by January 15.

The attacks are a throwback to conditions in under Taliban rule, when education for girls was banned and most women forced to stay home.

The attacks came hours after government spokeswoman Sherry Rehman vowed all schools in the area would reopen by the end of the holidays in March.

The schools, including some 1,600 government-run establishments with a quarter of a million students, are closed for the winter vacation until the end of February.

But an association representing 400 private schools for boys and girls in the valley has said all its sites would remain closed after the break because of the militant threat.

A permanent shutdown would threaten education for tens of thousands of students.

Dilawar Khan Bangash, the police chief in the troubled valley, said it was not immediately clear if the attacks were a direct response to the government's recent pledge.

But militants appear to be targeting schools indiscriminately in a bid to prevent them reopening, he went on.

The attacks destroyed three schools for boys and two for girls, Bangash said.

The Swat valley was a major tourist attraction before militants began their anti-government campaign in the region more than a year ago.

It lies close to the tribally-governed belt along pakstan 's border with Afghanistan, where the West believes al Qaeda leaders have found refuge.
